Progress with Purpose!
Un progrès clair, une vision partagée
I see a Beaumont that continues to be the beautiful little city we’re proud to call home—where families feel safe, our parks and green spaces are abundant, and local businesses thrive at the heart of our community. A city where growth feels like progress, not loss—welcoming new families with the same small-town warmth that has always been our hallmark. A place where change is intentional, planning is purposeful, and every step forward builds a future that still feels like home, one our children will want to continue to call their own.

Beaumont is in my blood. My family—the Goudreau and Hinse families—were among the original settlers, helping shape our francophone heritage and a community built on connection, compassion, and collaboration. I grew up on a farm just north of town, graduated from “The Comp,” and have lived a life rooted in the values that make Beaumont special.
Today, my husband and I are raising our two children and our puppy here, and I want them and yours to grow up in a Beaumont where community and compassion remain at the heart of everything we do.
Leadership has been part of my story from the start—from becoming the youngest District Commissioner for the Clearwater Valley Pony Club at age 21, to helping found the Beaumont Horse Trials, to serving the last four years on City Council. My career spans non-profit, corporate, and municipal service, and I’ve always believed real success comes from putting people first. It has been an absolute pleasure serving on council but I know there is still work to be done.
Over the last few years, I’ve strengthened my leadership through continued education and service: I’m a Certified Leadership and Performance Coach; hold a Certificate in Governance Essentials through the Institute of Corporate Directors; serve on the Economic Strategy Committee for Alberta Municipalities; and sit on the board of the Rise Up Society of Alberta, supporting those impacted by intimate partner violence.
I bring experience, relationships, and a hands-on, communicative leadership style to every challenge. Beaumont’s future isn’t something we simply talk about—it’s something we build together.
Trust is at the heart of good governance and it’s built through openness, consistency, and respect. Beaumont deserves a City Hall that feels connected to its people—not distant from them.
Over the past four years, progress has been made on transparency, but many residents still don’t feel their voices reflected in outcomes. That perception matters.
As Mayor, I’ll work to strengthen the relationship between residents, Council, and administration by making participation easier, communication clearer, and decision-making more collaborative. Together, we can ensure City Hall not only makes decisions but builds trust in the way those decisions are made.
Beaumont’s future depends on building both a strong local economy and strong regional partnerships. A thriving local economy means more jobs close to home, more options for shopping and services, and more dollars staying in Beaumont to support the programs and infrastructure we all rely on.
At the same time, regional collaboration ensures we can deliver big projects and services more efficiently, without putting the full burden on Beaumont taxpayers. Growth for the sake of growth isn’t the goal—growth that strengthens our community is.
As Beaumont grows, it’s becoming more challenging to keep our core services at the level residents expect. While there’s no quick fix, I believe service levels must be at the heart of our budget discussions.
At the same time, we can’t just focus on patching today’s gaps. We need to make decisions that keep services reliable not just this year, but for the years ahead. Sustainability means investing wisely, maintaining what we already have, and making sure growth doesn’t stretch resources so thin that quality slips. Beaumont deserves a city that delivers today while planning responsibly for tomorrow.
Beaumont is growing and that growth will shape the city we pass on to future generations. But growth isn’t just about new neighbourhoods; it’s about how we grow, where we grow, and who helps shape it. I come from a long line of Beaumont residents and farmers who believed in each other—when neighbours shared equipment, helped with harvests, and showed up for every community event.
We may live in a more complex world now, but the question is still the same: will we move forward alone, or together? As Mayor, I’ll ensure growth strengthens the connections that make Beaumont feel like home.
I’m not just running for Mayor — I’m raising my family here, living the same realities as you and I’ve grown up experiencing Beaumont through almost every stage of life.
From my teen years navigating youth opportunities to today juggling childcare, school schedules, and activities, I understand the challenges families currently face. With my parents recently leaving the family farm, I’ve also seen the housing pressures and lack of choices our seniors are faced with. Growing up with a sister with developmental disabilities I also recognize the importance of providing a variety of programming and the requirements for accessibility.
I watched my grandparents, as farmers, lean on other farmers in tough seasons and open their doors to host community gatherings. That world looked different from the one we live in today, but the values at its core—trust, generosity, and coming together—are the same ones I carry forward.
I believe those values are exactly what we need to tackle today’s challenges: rising costs, rapid growth, and ensuring no one is left behind. My leadership is grounded in inclusivity and collaboration, and strategic investments. My experience on council will allow me to hit the ground running.
This campaign isn’t just about politics — it’s about life, history, and community. My time on council has built relationships and proven results, and my leadership experience and education equip me to be a Mayor who delivers. But it’s my deep connection to Beaumont that gives me the heart to fight for what matters.
What I Stand For
I don’t just skim reports but I dig deep, ask questions, and ensure decisions stand the test of time. I’ll work to make Beaumont’s next chapter one we can all be proud of.
